Here's a great total body strength workout to get you started if you are just dipping your toes into weight training.

Remember, it's ESSENTIAL to implement yoga and mobility drills with your training to help the body move properly and also to mitigate injury risk.

Perform the following exercises one after the other with 30 seconds to 1 minute between exercises. Once you reach the last exercise you will rest 1 minute and repeat from the start.

You may repeat this cycle 2-3 times so long as you feel comfortable and are maintaining good form.

  • Prone Floor Cobra  (10-15 reps)
  • Push-Ups (or deep push-ups)  (Max reps)
  • Squats  (10-15 reps)
  • Dumbbell Row  (10-15 reps)
  • Chest Press (10-15 reps)
  • Step-Back Lunges (10-15 reps)
  • Planks (as long as you can up to 2 minutes)
